Although we’re closed over the winter months there’s still plenty going on at the farm and now we’re counting down the days to the Easter holidays and the arrival of this year’s first guests. Farmer Tony is hoping for lots of budding young farmers to help him with the animal feeding, especially little Misty our Devon longwool lamb. Her mum hasn’t been able to produce enough milk for her but happily, she’s taken to the bottle and is doing really well; she’s still in with mum and they’re very close as you can see from the photo that Tony took – she looks so cosy snuggled into mum’s great big woolly fleece.
There are other new arrivals on their way too, so lots to see and do during your farm holiday with 3 little piggies and more bottle fed lambs to care for as well as some new chickens who will be laying fresh tasty eggs for you to collect.
The freezer is fully stocked with our own delicious sausages and tasty Dexter beef and Kathy is busy in the farmhouse kitchen cooking homemade meals for the farm shop – the smell of Moussaka and beef goulash is making everyone feel hungry today.
So by the time our doors are open on the 31st of March we will be well and truly ready to welcome everyone in and give them a great Devon farm holiday.
If you haven’t booked already we still have a few spaces in our cottages and lodges over Easter and the rest of the year is booking well too – in fact we’re looking forward to our busiest year yet so do come and stay and join in with the fun on our jolly farm.
