Walking in North Devon

The South West Coast Path
Lower Campscott is ideally situated as a base to explore the North Devon section of the South West Coast Path.

Originally created by coastguards, patrolling the south west peninsula looking out for smugglers, the South West Coast Path is is 630 miles long and is the longest National Trail in the country. Starting at Minehead in Somerset it runs along the coastline of Exmoor, continuing along the coast of North Devon into Cornwall. It follows the entire coastline of Cornwall, goes across the mouth of the River Tamar and continues into Devon. After running along the south coast of Devon it then follows the Dorset coastline before finally ending at Poole Harbour.

Come and have a chat with us in the farm office, as keen walkers ourselves we have plenty of maps and information on walks from the farm as well further afield.

Whether you’re looking for a day out exploring the uplands of Exmoor, a leisurely stroll along the level Tarka Trail or a family and dog friendly ramble through our glorious countryside followed by a well earned rest in one of  North Devon’s traditional village pubs we’d be delighted to advise you on routes and locations. We also have details of several local taxi companies who will do pick ups for linear walks.
