Friends & families celebrate on the farm

There’s nothing better than getting together with family or friends. Catching up with everyone, renewing friendships, introducing new family members and maybe celebrating a special birthday or anniversary over a meal and a glass or two. Who doesn’t love an excuse for a good old social?

Here at Lower Campscott Farm we’ve hosted many happy gatherings over the years, from 80th birthdays to friends and family reunions, with people travelling from around the globe. They’ve all made themselves at home in our comfy cottages and lodges, joined in with the animal feeding, held pool and table tennis tournaments in the games room, organised treasure hunts around the farm trail, barbequed in the gardens and best of all sat down together in the Old Dairy function room to wine, dine and party.

The addition of Larchtree Lodge this year means that we can now accommodate 40 people plus babes in cots and there’s the campsite too providing extra space for guests in tents or caravans. When it comes to a celebration meal we can highly recommend wonderful Vicki from Wilde Thyme in Braunton – she will cook you up delicious food, providing a full catering service or leaving it for you to serve yourselves. The Grampus Inn has one of several great local micro-breweries that sell barrels of ale, sadly for us, everyone who has ordered a barrel has managed to drink the lot which makes us think that it must be pretty good stuff!

Need a special celebration cake? Theresa from Cupcakin Around can bake one off for you in her cottage kitchen in Ilfracombe. We’re so lucky to have such great little businesses right on our doorstep and we’re keen to support them. Why not hire Lee Village Hall for a bigger event? Need pampering, a hot tub or babysitters? Just ask us and we’ll put you in touch with people who can help make your group holiday or short break memorable for all the right reasons.
