It’s far, far too long since our last farm diary – what on earth have we been up to?! Well summer came early on the farm with fantastic glorious sunshine, we’ve had our rainy days but it has only helped to make everything look fresher and greener. The gardens are in full bloom and looking gorgeous thanks to Gill’s experise, Shaun’s wielding of strimmer & rake and Christopher’s mowing and watering – the horticultural A team!
In the last few weeks our cottages and lodges have been filled with young families so Farmer Tony has had a very merry band of little helpers to assist with the animal feeding & egg collecting every day. He delighted them all by hitching up his tractor and trailer then taking them for a ride round the farm. It looks like tractor and trailer rides are going to be a firm favourite this summer and of course Farmer Tony loves any excuse to drive his tractor!
Kathy & Caroline have been busy in the farm shop, welcoming guests, ensuring the cottages and lodges are looking their very best and Kathy has been cooking in the farmhouse kitchen most days to keep up with the demand for her tasty homemade meals. This is definitely our busiest year to date and we’re loving it – feeling so fortunate to live in such a wonderful place and be able to share it with our lovely guests.
