Oh we do love a good party and an excuse to celebrate here on the farm! There have been lots of group farm stays here this year – special birthdays, weddings, family get-togethers and friends reunions. The function room has been very popular and one week a family group even brought their own chef with them (he was a member of the family though!).

In May all the cottages and lodges were booked out for the weekend by Polly to celebrate her recent wedding. Guests stayed on the campsite in hired bell tents too and more friends and family camped nearby. The main celebration was in Lee Village Hall on the Saturday night and Polly used the function room for everyone staying at the farm to get together during the day.

Several families stayed for a week in the summer holidays having booked out 4 cottages and the function room – the overwhelming conclusion was that although they love spending time together as a family it was great to have their own separate accommodation to return to at the end of the day.

Vicki from Wild Thyme in Braunton provided delicious food for many of the parties and Theresa, who makes our farmyard cupcakes, baked some tasty sweet treats for a family group who were going to a wedding at the Tunnels Beaches and fancied getting together with other guests for a tea party the next day.

Our guests found it easy to wander from their cottage along the quiet footpath down to Lee Bay. Within a short walk, they found the coast opening up ahead – fresh sea air, stunning views, and coastal trails to explore together. It’s the perfect way to connect with nature and enjoy shared adventures outdoors.
